MMA Amateur Fighter Afrem Gebreanenia

AfremEthiopian-born Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) amateur fighter Afrem Gebreanenia will face Trevor McKenzie in the 155 lbs-category tomorrow as part of the VFC Fort Riley Fight Night in Fort Riley, Kansas.

The 21-years-old, who has a black belt in Taekwondo, also practiced kick boxing while living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Afrem’s ambition is to pursue a professional career as an MMA fighter. His manager Timothy White believes that he can achieve that in the next 3-4 years.

The Worthington, Minnesota resident arrived in the US two years ago with his mother, brother and sister.
